SPW Cremations & MCB Chapel and Lounge Capacities
As at 14 February 2021
COVID-19; RETURN TO PRE-LOCKDOWN SUNDAY 14 FEBRUARY 2021
The Premier has announced today that the current Perth and Peel restrictions will end as planned at 12:01 am Sunday 14 February 2021 and that we are returning to pre-lockdown conditions (prior to 6pm Sunday 31 January 2021).
It is expected that everyone attending MCB facilities continues to practice physical distancing where possible and maintain good personal hygiene and observe COVID safe principles.
Registration of contact details continues to be mandatory.
Masks will no longer be required to be worn either inside or outside.
Public or private events (funerals) involving more than 500 people will require a COVID Event Plan – refer memo COVID Event Plan; Outdoor funerals of more than 500 attendees, sent 22 December 2020.
The MCB venue capacity, as of Sunday 14 February 2021, will return to the 2 metre square per person rule.
Where the number of people attending a funeral exceeds the venue capacity, these persons are still able to attend the funeral but must remain in the outdoor gathering spaces practising physical distancing.
This advice may be subject to change.
Please note that the capacity of the lounges is less than the chapels.
