We provide cheap affordable professional services suited to those who wish to have either a simple non-attended cremation, or a simple, low cost affordable cremation funeral service, suited to those who simply wish to assemble at the cemetery entrance and proceed to the chapel together.

SPW Cremations & MCB Chapel and Lounge Capacities
Effective 6am Monday 21st February 2022

Premier’s announcement this afternoon, 18 February 2022, new Level 1 public health and social measures are being introduced from 6am Monday 21 February 2022, to help manage Omicron COVID-19 cases in Western Australia.

The venue capacity limits for Chapels, Prayer Halls and Mausolea at MCB cemeteries will be dependent on the
2 square metre per person rule as for places of worship. Please see venue capacity on the following page.

Masks are Mandatory:
  • Indoors
  • Outdoor public areas where physical distancing is not possible
Funerals
  • 2 metre square per person rule.
  • Outdoor gatherings for funerals are limited to 200.
It is expected that everyone attending MCB facilities continues to practice physical distancing where possible and maintain good personal hygiene and observe COVID safe principles.

Registration of contact details continues to be mandatory.

Please note that the capacity of the lounges is less than the chapels.

Brown Chapel - 75 people

West Chapel - 200 people
West Lounge / Foyer - 95 people
(The doors between the foyer and the lounge must remain open at all times to accommodate this number)
Pinnaroo Cemetery
East Chapel - 100 people
East Lounge - 90 people

West Chapel - 115 people
West Lounge /Foyer - 105 people

Contact registers are still mandatory for funerals including the collection of contact details of patrons, staff, visitors and contractors for COVID-19 contact tracing. Contact registers must be kept for 28 days.
